NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police Commissioner Clayton Fernander is asking residents to “trust the police” amid concerns police will not fairly investigate allegations against a sitting PLP Member of Parliament.

On April 7th, a woman filed a complaint against a sitting PLP MP in Grand Bahama.

Earlier this week, the COP told the Nassau Guardian that police were wrapping up their investigation into an allegation a woman made against North Abaco MP Kirk Cornish.

Five weeks after the complaint, the file is now with the Director of Public prosecutions.
