NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The four new safe boats gifted to the Royal Bahamas Police Force from the United States Government are 27-feet long, with enclosed cabins, and U.S. Charges d’Affaires Usha Pitts says they are vital for securing our borders.

The boats will be deployed across New Providence, Abaco, Andros, and Bimini to be used for daily patrols as well as to support Operation Bahamas, Turks and Caicos.

The total donation is valued at $2 million.

Pitts says the protective gear is critical in the protection of plain clothes intelligence officers. As for the six jaws of life.

While referencing the recent official re-opening of the Elbow Reef Lighthouse, Pitts added.
