UNITED STATES – An American company, Intuitive Machines, has made history by being the first commercial entity to land a spacecraft on the moon.

Their Odysseus robot successfully touched down near the lunar south pole. After tense moments, controllers confirmed the craft’s safe landing.

This achievement marks a significant milestone not only for commercial space exploration but also for the us space program, ending a half-century absence since the last Apollo mission in 1972.

Equipped with instruments from NASA, Odysseus aims to explore areas like the shadowed craters potentially containing frozen water.

This mission heralds a new era of lunar exploration and demonstrates the power of NASA’s commercial partnerships.
