UNITED STATES – A nationwide recall of nearly 12 million pounds of meat and poultry products has expanded to include ready-to-eat meals sent to schools, restaurants, and major retailers like Costco, Target, and Walmart, due to potential listeria contamination, according to federal officials.

The meat, processed at Brucepac’s Oklahoma plant, tested positive for listeria during routine checks.

While no illnesses have been confirmed, the USDA has issued a recall for products made between May 31 and October 8.
