NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The COVID-19 pandemic isn’t putting a dent in enrolment numbers at the University of The Bahamas. In this report, the University president shares plans on the way forward.

Enrolment at the University of The Bahamas remains steady. A trend not seen at many other universities around the world where enrollment numbers have dropped because of the pandemic.  That’s according to University of The Bahamas president Dr. Erik Rolland.

Because of COVID, UB has ramped up online classes over the last 2 years.

As for whether classes have resumed to fully face to face instruction, Dr. Rolland says they’re exploring what’s best based on the subjects.

When it comes to expanding, Dr. Rolland says students can expect the launch of additional graduate programs and certifications in order for persons to up-skill and re-skill.
