NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The UB Mingoes opened up their softball season last week at the One Caribbean Invitational at Banker’s Field against the Bommer G Operators.

The Mingoes kept the game close early on, finishing the third inning down 2-1, however, the team surrendered an offensive explosion finishing the game 18-3.

NBA

Several Bahamians started saw action as the NBA preseason is underway.

Klay Thompson got things started on Saturday as he scored 10 points on 2 of 7 shooting and grabbed four rebounds to help his Golden State Warriors beat the LA Lakers 125-108.

Eric Gordon and Buddy Hield played on Sunday Night as Gordon got eight points and three assists off the bench to help his Phoenix Suns beat the Detroit Pistons 130-126 and Buddy Hield scored four points off the bench as his Indiana Pacers fell to the Memphis Grizzlies 127-122.
