Up To $1m in DRA Assets Missing, Says Chair

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Hundreds of thousands of dollars in disaster reconstruction authority supplies and equipment remain missing and according to Chairman Alex Storr the Authority is going after the missing equipment.

A recent inventory exercise at the disaster reconstruction authority revealing that up to $1m in supplies and equipment are missing.

Storr says an investigation continues into the missing money.

The revelation came as Storr was giving an update on the DRA assets seized from Friendship Tabernacle Church on Abaco.

Last month it was revealed that police officers recovered the goods from the church which the DRA said was part of an ongoing investigation.

Storr says the DRA is going after assets that remain outstanding.
