Vatican To Publish Document On Gender

VATICAN CITY – The Vatican says it will release a document addressing gender theory and surrogacy, aiming to address conservative opposition to Pope Francis’ stance on same-sex unions. Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández, is expected to present the document titled “infinite dignity, on human dignity” on April 8th.

This follows criticism of a December document allowing non-liturgical blessings for same-sex couples.

Fernández says the new document will critique societal “immoral tendencies” including surrogacy and gender theory.

Despite Francis’ outreach, he has publicly expressed opposition to “gender ideology” and has advocated for a global ban on surrogacy.
