NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Two security officers carrying deposit bags were robbed and shot in the Palmdale Shopping Plaza. The robbery occurred in broad daylight, causing panic among shoppers on Tuesday.

The crime was so shocking that Police Commissioner Clayton Fernander showed up at the scene and called the shooting bold. He said the security officers, who work for a private firm, were about to walk to a bank shortly after 1 p.m. when a car stopped next to them, gunmen jumped out, and demanded that the men hand over the deposit bags. Others are demanding immediate action from law enforcement and local government to ensure residents are safe.
