Lara Ortiz – Owner/Operator, Ocean Adventure Cat “we heard it, I mean, it sounded like a sonic boom. It was just like a duum!”

The Owner and Operator of Ocean Adventure Cat charters telling us they enjoy watching and recording the SpaceX launches, but this launch wasn’t like the ones they’ve recorded in the past.

Lara Ortiz “we kind of went, what was that? And then someone confirmed that They thought that it had exploded over the radio. 

We thought I hope it wasn’t manned and then we realized ok no this was a test lunch so that’s good. It was kind of like a moment. Oh gosh, it was a starship, could it have had people on it? But then we realize it hasn’t passed testing yet, so that was good.” 

According to the U.S Federal Aviation Administration, that debris field causing diversions for several aircraft because of low fuel levels after being kept in holding patterns.

In This post on ‘X’ last night, Musk said preliminary indications pointed to a fuel leak as the root of the cause and as of Friday afternoon, with reports of property damage in Turks and Caicos from the ship, the FAA has grounded the starship rocket and ordered an investigation before the prototype can return to the skies.
