NASSAU, BAHAMAS – As the country gets set to host the 50th edition of the CARIFTA games in track and field easter weekend, CARIFTA swimming will also be going on at the same time.

The swimming games will take place in Curacao from April 8th – 11th.

But unlike track and field, President of Bahamas Aquatics Algernon Cargill says more corporate sponsorship is needed to make sure the team will return home with the crown.

Trials for CARIFTA swimming are being held at the Betty Kenning Aquatics Center, a 36-member team is expected to be named, Sunday.

Cargill says there are very high hopes as the team has brought home the overall title four consecutive times.
