GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – The weather created the biggest challenge for poll workers, defence force and police officers as well as voters who were eligible for Wednesday’s advanced poll.

In fact, many of the voters we spoke to complained about the rain and the fact that there was no tent to shelter them from Mother Nature.

But the rain didn’t stop the back and forth between both major political parties and the police, because by law party supporters are supposed to be 300 feet away from the polling station entrance.

Leonard Roker told us he almost didn’t vote.

But we also spoke with some voters who had no issues at all.

Just before noon, officials erected a tent to shield those waiting from the rain.

We also spoke to Returning Officer Leonard Dames Jr. who told us that between West Grand Bahama and Bimini, he expected some 350 at the end of Wednesday.
