NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Panglang Diana Hart is Vice President of the Woodes Rogers Vendors Association.

She’s been in the tourism industry since childhood and now provides jobs for other Bahamians at her tropical daiquiri business.

Hart was one of the vendors that was temporarily relocated from Rawson Square before the opening of the new cruise port.

Now, in the same position once again, Hart says the uncertainty is disheartening.

When it comes to what they call the lack of communication the vendors express, President of the Vendors Association, James Sears says he has been in contact with Senator Randy Rolle since last year as it relates to the upcoming changes. When asked if he then communicated that information to the vendors, sears said this.

Sears adds that it has been determined that only six vendors will be relocated to market close however, seven vendors will have to seek an alternative location.

The vendors also confirm that Senator Rolle has reached out regarding the letter and a meeting has been scheduled for Thursday at 3pm.
