NASSAU, BAHAMAS – There is a popular saying, “new year, new me,” and with that said, we took to the streets to find out from residents about their goals for the new year.

Euletta Jonhson – Resident

“ My goals are, I would like to help to feed the needy, I need a place to stay, a vehicle to drive, and I would like to evangelize the gospel.”

Fritzgerald Miller – Resident

“ My goal is to try to achieve stuff [that I] didn’t get to do in the last year.”

From faith and health, to finances and family, new year’s resolutions mean different things to different people.

However, one common thread emerged: a desire for growth, stability, and purpose in the year ahead.

Bridganne Burrows – Resident

“ My plans is to follow God spiritually, connect with God, always with the holy spirit. And like the word of God said, write out your plans, make it plain, make it simple. Trust God in everything.”

Rochelle Davis – Resident

“ Definitely stay on the right path with my health and fitness, get this weight off. My relationships with family, friends, [and a] closer walk with God. Definitely avoid drama and trauma too.”

For some, while the calendar may change, growth should be a daily commitment.

Nigel Mckenzie – Resident

“ We have to learn to be more control of each day of our life.”

“Now, embarking [a] new year, what’s your plan? Good health, strength, and more wisdom, more understanding of the most high.”
