The area was closed in September to make way for a new multimillion-dollar ballroom — a project President Trump says he wants completed before leaving office.
Despite the work, holiday traditions are moving forward. First Lady Melania Trump welcomed the official Christmas tree this week. Visitors will simply be routed around construction areas when tours restart.
