NASSAU, BAHAMAS – We are just hours away from the big return to Bay and the big showdown on Bay. This year, The Valley Boys will be the grand finale, entering the parade route 6th. Their theme: The Magnificent Wonders of the Deep!

And, what will the “ocean-like” concept bring? Well, Stephen “Eggy Bump” Bain of The Valley Boys leadership team says that this year’s theme “We Come from the Ocean” is something that will be powerful. According to Bain, humans of the land often fear the ocean, but insists that if you look deep enough, you might just find that that’s where we all came from.

For their sections, he says The Valley Boys will simply be re-creating the work of the world’s greatest artist.

One of the main highlights of the parade, that feet tapping, hip swaying, shoulder bouncing music.

And, after a break that many Junkanoo enthusiasts would simply call “too long”. The Valley Boys say they’re hoping to make every participant feel right back at home on Bay.

Bain says that ahead of the return excitement is high in the shacks.

And, at the end of the day, Bain says it’s all about the crowd.
