GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – The multimillion-dollar Celebration Key development in East Grand Bahama is proving to be a game changer for local entrepreneurs, offering opportunities unlike anything many have experienced before.

The massive project, featuring a 1.5-mile beach, two lagoons, Bahamian shops, local cuisine, and entertainment zones, has become a hub for both tourists and Bahamian businesses, with even more expansion on the horizon.

For Natalya and Avery Poitier, owners of Mini Donut King, the experience has been life-changing.

“We’ve gotten such an incredible response,” said the couple. “Celebration Key definitely gives us room to grow and accomplish more.”

Across the boardwalk, Accessorize by Too Chic, a handcrafted purse and accessories boutique owned by Rickena Laing and her daughter, has also felt the impact.

“This has been a blessing,” Laing said. “It allows small Bahamian businesses to reach new audiences and create lasting impact for the island.”

Meanwhile, Bahama Mama Seafood Pitt serves mostly Carnival crew members and staff. General Manager Dionnae Pinder says the restaurant has seen a steady economic boost since the port opened.

“When I go out, I see more people working, more energy on the island,” she shared.

Pinder encouraged other Bahamians to seize the opportunities Carnival’s presence is creating.

“Whatever your business is, go for it,” she said. “There’s space for the younger people to thrive.”

As Celebration Key continues to grow, its local partnerships are already reshaping Grand Bahama’s economic landscape, one small business at a time.
