Woman Left Penniless After $4.5K Vanishes From Her Account

GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – A resident is still seeking justice after her hard-earned funds vanished from her bank account.

She says to date there has been no resolve.

Tameka Dixon says it was on Friday, November 12th she deposited $4,500 into her bank account on Grand Bahama.

However, the very next day, her mother called asking to borrow money and to Dixon’s surprise, the entire balance was gone.

Dixon says she immediately went to the bank on Monday and reported the issue with her account.

She was told to fill out a fraud form and was promised a follow-up call which Dixon says never came.

As a result, she returned to the bank in December and was informed that their investigation had been completed and that her money would be returned.

“Every time I go there it’s like a different story, and I don’t think if someone put their money in y’all bank on an account their money should go missing, just like that,” Dixon said.

Dixon, visibly distressed, now wants a resolution as she says it’s been far too long.
