NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A woman on bail for murder and attempted murder is back in custody after being accused of reoffending.

Prosecutors allege that 21-year-old Marquella Dean, while concerned with others, murdered Dario Dawkins and attempted to murder Anton Davis, 25, and a four-year-old boy on August 24.

Police said three gunmen exited a silver car and opened fire on the victims as they stood in front of a yard at the junction of Rupert Dean Lane and Ferguson Street.

The victims were all rushed to hospital, where Dawkins died.

Dean was not required to enter pleas to the charges when she appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley.

Bail was denied and Dean returns to court on November 23 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.

Dean was previously on bail for the shooting murder of Sean Augustin and the attempted murder of Jason Campbell on July 13, 2018.
