NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Potholes and bumpy roads are an age-old problem in New Providence.

Senior Civil Engineer in the Ministry of Works Francis Clarke says the truth of the matter is many roads on New Providence are not up to standard.

He’s also sharing how heavy rainfall can impact roads.

The senior engineer says sometimes Ministry of Works teams’ are unable to fix potholes if there is bad weather.

But there is a paving program in place, all in an effort to rectify the issue.

Clarke says recently portions of East Street South and Lincoln Boulevard were paved.
