NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Integrated Coastal Zone Management Program seeks to resolve issues that affect coastlines within our country.

It will also assist with managing the country’s coastal resources according to Assistant Environmental and Safety Specialist in the Ministry of Works Alexio Brown

And while it may seem simple, he breaks down what a coastline is.

The $35 million project will begin in New Providence with pilots set for East Grand Bahama, Andros and Long Island.

Brown says organizations like the Bahamas National Trust are also on board.
