NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Ministry of Works is promising to do its part to ensure two major venues for ready for the upcoming Independence events. 

Several venues for the 50th Independence Celebrations getting facelifts in time for July 10th.

Works and Utilities Minister Alfred Sears recently telling Parliament that upgrades at Clifford Park will cost  $2.7 million dollars.

Sears says these upgrades will benefit both residents and visitors.

And with the Bahamas Games also on the horizon, sears says work is ongoing at the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium.
