10-Year-Old Abaco Student Pens New Book

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – At just 10 years old, Alexander Davis, a student at Central Abaco Primary School, is already making headlines, and not for the reasons you might expect.

At the age of nine, Alexander achieved what many adults only dream of: he became a published author.

His debut book, The Mythical Forest of Supernova, was written last year and has already begun to capture the imagination of readers. The story follows three teenagers who attend a prestigious high school and find themselves on a thrilling quest for hidden mysteries.

“One particular mystery caught their attention when an odd-looking man said that he knew things about a forest nearby. They wanted to know more about this first. Was the forest true, or was the forest just a fairy tale?”

But what sparked this young author’s creativity? Alexander credits an episode of Tom and Jerry and a cherished childhood memory.

“There was an episode where Tom wrote a book, and he was proud and happy with himself. What also inspired me is when I was younger, I used to write in the back of my mom’s college book.”

Since the release of his book, Alexander says he’s made his family proud, and he’s especially happy that others are finding joy in the world he created. His journey has even led him to share his story with members of his local church in Abaco.

Humble and grateful, the young author expressed thanks to the many teachers and supporters who helped him along the way. He also had a powerful message for other young dreamers:

“For all those other young men out there, there are going to be challenges in life that are going to be hard, but push through. Your accomplishments are great.”

Alexander Davis is a shining example of what young minds can achieve with imagination, encouragement, and determination. His story is just beginning, and it’s already one for the books.
