NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Over 200 young sailors from across The Bahamas are competing in the Sir Durward Knowles National Youth Regatta – a three-day event.

While the official results are being tabulated, what we do know is that Lady Kayla won the first E-Class race and One Bahamas took the second.

Through the first two days, Joannes Martiz of Lyford Cay is in the lead, hoping to maintain it through the final day, today.

And a couple fun facts:

The windy weather necessitated a le mans style start for the green fleet, the youngest sailors in the race where they had to push their boats into the water and race an altered, much shorter course,

And students from Uriah McPhee Primary School are also competing in the regatta, the only government school in the event.

NBA

Buddy Hield had himself a night, scoring 22 points on 8 of 11 shooting, five three pointers along with three rebounds and two assists off the bench to help his Golden State Warriors secure a 132-108 win over the Sacramento Kings.

And Klay Thompson scored 12 points, all on three-pointers along with three rebounds and three assists to help his Dallas Mavericks get a 111-103 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
