LONG ISLAND, BAHAMAS – A top executive at a company that is set to build a $250 million development in Long Island revealing details of the project.

Last month, the Davis administration signed a heads of agreement with Azul Destinations and Calypso Cove Destinations for the development of an upscale resort and cruise port for south Long Island.

The multimillion-dollar project includes a 200-bedroom hotel, mega yacht marina facilities, interior pools, casinos, and 18-hole golf course, cruise port and pier.

Addressing Long Island Business Outlook, Sherif Assal, Executive Chairman of Azul Destinations, explained it won’t all happen at once.

Three-hundred jobs are expected over the two-year construction phase, with permanent local employment once it opens.
