NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A multi-million-dollar project in South End, Long Island will also come with a revamped and expanded airport on the island.

Deputy Prime Minister Chester Cooper confirming plans for the expansion of the Long Island airport, which will also include a 200 bedroom hotel, mega yacht facilities, a casino, cruise pier, and golf courses, as well as park areas designed in conjunction with the Bahamas National Trust.

Many around the table stressed the Bahamian-centric approach to the development, both in design and investment.

This Bahamian influence can already seen through Azul Destinations’ general council.

Thomas Dean is credited for having suggested Long Island as the location for the development.

They hope the groundbreaking can start in late 2023/early-2024.
