GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Eighty-five Grand Bahamians in the tourism industry are now better equipped to make waves in their profession.

The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association Education Foundation hosting a certification ceremony for hospitality professionals after completing Caribbean supercharged hospitality training workshops between November 27 and December 1. 

CHTA Board Member Professor Mike Hampton says the association provides funding for industry professionals throughout the Caribbean.

The workshop on Grand Bahama is the first to be hosted by the CHTA in The Bahamas and local industry professionals say it will be used as a pilot program to be implemented on other islands. 

Executive member of The Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association Ian Rolle offered words of encouragement to the newly trained professionals.

The one-day dynamic workshops focused on heartfelt guest care to create memorable experiences for all team members and effective results-driven communication for managers and supervisors.
