NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Chester Cooper touring the downtown area this morning to get a first hand view of the country’s tourism product.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism and Aviation Chester Cooper touring the downtown area where some vendors were sharing their concerns.

The tourism minister says with the country slowly coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic. He is pleased with the level of activity downtown.

Cooper admitting that the government needs to make some additional adjustments to improve the area.

As for dilapidated buildings, the DPM says it’s not what he wants tourists to see when coming off of the cruise ships.
