BHS Thrift Shop Gets Spotlight

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Women’s Corona Society served fashionable philanthropy at one of their recent events, using only the inventory from the Bahamas Humane Society’s thrift shop.

The show was part of the Women’s Corona Society’s welcome back luncheon to raise awareness of the thrift shop’s hidden treasures at the Bahamas Humane Society.

Aside from its social aspect, the group heavily focuses on supporting women and the vulnerable members of the community.

Before the fashion show even started, Vice-President Angela Moree told us that more than $1,000 had been raised in raffle money that would go to one of their charities.

As for the thrift shop being highlighted, Bahamas Humane Society President, Kim Aranha was excited by the opportunity to show the inventory’s range.

The thrift shop is just next door to the Bahamas Humane Society, and isn’t just limited to womenswear, also carrying baby clothes, toys, books, kitchenware and furniture.
