NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Months after expressing concern over an overflow of taxicab plates oversaturating the industry, Taxi Cab Union President Wesley Ferguson says the union finds itself in the same state.

Ferguson says it seems the transport minister is missing in action.

Back in August, Ferguson said there was a 200 percent increase in taxi plates, adding that many will cry out over the issue.

Between June and July, sources say the department of transport gave out over 500 taxi plates.

Ferguson says the union will not go away, adding taxi drivers are making no money.
