NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A woman with alleged gang ties will remain behind bars as she awaits trial for murder and attempted murder.

Marquella Dean, who prosecutors say is affiliated with the Mad Ass gang, is charged with the murder of Dario Dawkins and the attempted murders of Anton Davis and a six-year-old boy.

On August 24, 2023, the victims were in front of a home on Rupert Dean lane when a car allegedly driven by Dean pulled up and stop. Two gunmen allegedly got out of the vehicle and opened fire before they returned to the car and fled the scene.

At the time of the offense, Dean was on bail for the 2018 murder of Sean Augustine and the attempted murder of Jason Campbell.

Justice Guillimina Archer-Minns said that there was a likelihood that Dean would reoffend if released on bail.
