Opposition Leader Assess Government’s 2024 Performance

GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Opposition Leader Michael Pintard, is delivering his assessment of the government’s performance in 2024 while outlining his vision and hopes for the new year in the country.

“As it relates to crime they have failed in that regard they have not provided the kind of leadership that is required to put out a comprehensive crime fighting plan,” Pintard said.

He was criticizing the Davis administration’s leadership in 2024. He says crime is a significant concern and stressed the need for government to lead by example.

Shifting to the economy, Pintard expressed his belief that government has also underperformed in this critical area.

“We believe that one significant thing the government is able to do in the in the new year, remove out of bread basket items of medication, assist persons, particularly with your feminine and baby products,” he said.

“Those are things you can have an immediate impact on families who have limited funds. The third thing is that the Ministry of Finance can better assist the Minister of Social Services. Far too many seniors are not consistently receiving the assistance that they desire and need.”

Healthcare was another area of concern highlighted by Pintard.

He claims there are ongoing complaints about services at the Princess Margaret Hospital in the capital and rand memorial hospital in Freeport.

He called on government to ensure citizens receive the quality care they deserve.
