NASSAU, BAHAMAS – On the heels of record-breaking tourist arrivals for 2023, a new ship has added The Bahamas to its ports of call – the largest ship in Royal Caribbean’s fleet.

Guests were welcomed by the Music Makers Junkanoo group.  

Royal Caribbean International President Michael Bayley says the ship took seven years to develop and construct.

The ship also features Bahamian artwork by Angelica Wallace-Whitfield.

The category six vessel boasts of multiple restaurants and is the largest waterpark at sea with six record-breaking slides.

It also has stay-all-day neighborhoods like Central Park.

In addition to Icons of The Sea – the cruise giant’s largest vessel – Bayley says the plan is to welcome another ship in the coming months.
