ACKLINS, BAHAMAS – Despite repeated and graphic social media reports, police could not confirm any details almost 24 hours after this alleged gruesome crime.

Even the initial report of a search for a missing Acklins man around 9:30 monday night came hours after the story surfaced on social media.

Tuesday’s front page of the tribune newspaper was titled “Beheaded dad buried on beach”

And despite repeated requests, police could give no updates throughout the day.
Even the officer in charge on Acklins, could not as much as confirm that a body was found.

Our News finally caught up with the island’s Chief Councillor Marvin Campbell – he identified the victim as Shawn Ferguson.

Sources also telling Our News, Ferguson was killed inside his home, dismembered, and his remains buried nearby.

Our News also understands police from Nassau were deployed to investigate and excavate the shoreline on that southern island.

Sources also telling Our News that the two people in custody allegedly confessed to the gruesome crime.

Ferguson, a well-known government consultant, was said to be in good spirits and actively planning for an upcoming festival this weekend.

The island, known for its peacefulness and community ties is said to be reeling from this tragedy, shaking residents to their core.
