The Lions Score the Most Runs Against Dartmouth since 1865.

LOS ANGELES, CA, USA – New Providence-born Daalen Adderley and his Loyola Marymount University Lions had a historic Friday night when they ran up a ridiculous 28 runs to beat the Dartmouth Big Green.

Adderley had himself a day, going 2-2 with a single, a triple, and an RBI batting in the 5th slot playing DH.

The man of the day was LMU’s Sam Biller. The lefty junior, who got the start at left field that day had an out-of-body experience, going 5-7 with a double, 4 singles and 5 RBI.

Adderley was projected to be a college baseball All-American this season, coming off a year where he was named the best player in HBCU baseball at Texas Southern University. His numbers are down with im batting an appropriate-for-a-bahamian .242 with a respectable .849, OPS. Not terrible numbers, but last year he was among the country’s leaders in both key batting stats.

There is reason to believe that he can turn his season around. He’s making great contact, striking out 13 times in 18 games, less than one a game, but the Lions have had a rough schedule, owning a 10-10 record this season.
There’s a classic baseball saying by hall-of-famer Willie Keeler that says “Hit it where they ain’t”. Adderley has been hitting the ball, but to where the other guys are.

If he could do what the class of 1939 Hall-of-Famer says, LMU can turn their season around.
