NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A recent Privy Council ruling in July said that denying bail for murderers is unconstitutional, according to Attorney General Ryan Pinder.

Pinder was responding to comments by the police commissioner and his colleague national security minister who both said that they feel bail should be denied of murderers.

“Anything we do has to be in the purview of the Constitution and guidance by the Privy Council which is the ultimate court of the land,” he said.
