GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Meet Skyler Smith. This is Skyler’s third time making the CARIFTA team.

She participated when the games were held in Curacao in 2023 and again last year when The Bahamas hosted the games.

It’s an accomplishment she says she is very proud of.

Skyler along with her 35 other teammates will travel to Trinidad and Tobago for the Easter weekend with the hopes of bringing home The Bahamas’ seventh consecutive CARIFTA swimming title.

Her teammate, Isabella Cuccurullo will make her second appearance on the team.

And for Nitayo Knowles, this will be his first rodeo.

Jasmine Gibson is one of the assistant coaches for the 2025 CARIFTA team. She also coaches Skyler, Isabella and Nitayo in their local club in Grand Bahama.
