PARADISE ISLAND, BAHAMAS – In part one of our Blue Lagoon adventure I mentioned how I always wanted to participate in the programs offered at Dolphin Encounters but was always too afraid to get in the water.

For years I’ve wanted to take part in the dolphin swim. Well, I finally got my chance.

I suited up and prepared myself for the iconic dolphin swim at Blue Lagoon Island.

As I walked onto the platform and sat on the edge to get in the water, fear gripped me.

The fact that I cannot swim paired with the sight of not being able to see the ocean floor heightened my fears.

But the team at Blue Lagoon and Dolphin Dilly reassured me that I was safe.

Now that I’m in the water it was time for the fun to begin.

Dilly was so sweet – at times – other times she was a little sassy.

We hugged, kissed and took IG photos for our social media pages.

Then it was time for a crowd favorite. The number one reason why I wanted to do the dolphin swim, the famous foot push.

This experience was everything I imagined and more. My inner child was awakened and immensely satisfied.
