NASSAU, BAHAMAS – At the opposition’s press conference this afternoon, in a televised statement, Mt. Moriah member of parliament Mckell Bonaby slammed the Free National Movement, accusing them of being enemies of progress.

“They accused. They dismissed. They spun. But what they failed to do was what this government has done consistently is speak honestly, take responsibility, and deliver.”

The first time member of parliament for Mount Moriah is not mincing any words, giving a swift response to the opposition.

He weighed in after opposition leader Michael Pintard wrapped up their response to the 2025/2026 Budget Communication.

Bonaby accused the Free National Movement of constantly trying to “Talk down” good news.

“When the country moves forward, they try to drag it back. When a government governs with discipline, they call it a failure — because it wasn’t theirs they don’t just oppose our policies.”

One of the opposition’s main points is the “Surplus” touted by Prime Minister Davis is not felt by the average taxpayer, but Bonaby disagrees.

“They’re feeling the price of bread is a little lower. They’re feeling more of their roads are being paved. They’re seeing clinics finally being opened. They’re seeing school breakfast programmes in every constituency. They’re seeing this government show up — and follow through”
