GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Sensei Dwayne King, founder of King’s Martial Arts Academy, has been practicing martial arts disciplines for 46 years and began teaching five years ago.

Sensei King says his academy was founded on Christian principles and his teachings go beyond the fight.

When it comes to the disciplines, he says it’s all about control.

Besides the self-defense benefits, he says martial arts helps with self-evaluation, confidence and behavior.

Adults are also welcome to attend the self-defense classes. If you’re in Grand Bahama, here’s how you can check out the classes.
