Baha Mar Foundation Donates Jet Skis To RBDF, Pledges Ongoing Community Support

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Baha Mar Foundation has been making an impact across the country for years. Their latest donation, two brand-new 2025 sea-doo jet skis and a specialized trailer, was handed over to the Royal Bahamas Defence Force to boost patrols in Nassau Harbour and surrounding coastal waters.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – As we continue our series, deepening our Bahamian roots with the Baha Mar resort, we take a closer look at the work their foundation has been doing in the community.

The resort’s senior vice president says giving back is a commitment they take seriously.

The Baha Mar Foundation has been making an impact across the country for years. Their latest donation, two brand-new 2025 sea-doo jet skis and a specialized trailer, was handed over to the Royal Bahamas Defence Force to boost patrols in Nassau Harbour and surrounding coastal waters.

Baha Mar senior vice president, Robert “Sandy” Sands, says safety on the water is just as critical to tourism as the fun that comes with it.

One of the elements that is so important is safety of guest, safety on our waters etc,,, one of the way we can assist the competent authority, the rbpf, the rbdf, is by assisting them with vehicles such as these two jet skis to help enforce compliance and to police this particular area and to provide curve lance to our tourists as they enjoy this aspect of our tourism industry

Sands says the donation reflects the resort’s ongoing commitment

“For a country that is good to us, its important that we’re good to the country and its important that we giv back to the community because its our our genoristity that we areable to help those who can’t help themselves, and that is a commitment that we will continue to work on..and the next couple of months you will see us doing some things on some historic way, in non traditional commitments”

And when it comes to giving back, the numbers speak for themselves.

“I can tell you we donate almost a million dollars per year, and that is a sizable element and contribution, and as we do more things, that amount will go up on an annual basis.
