NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas recently hosted Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak as they launched their Selvarey rum in the Caribbean. Our Marlena Leonard caught up with local vendor Young’s Fine Wine and Da Rhythm Band who took the stage to help the group with their fun-filled launch.

Many know Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak for their music, but what you may not know is that when they’re not making music, they’re making Selvarey rum- and over the weekend they chose The Bahamas to be Selvarey’s first home in the Caribbean.

Selvarey also opted to partner with a local company, Young’s Fine Wine.

We spoke to Senior Vice-President, Kyle Jones, who tells us what the response to the new addition to the menu at Bon Vivants has been positive.

It featured events on rooftop bars, catamarans, and even a pool party attended by the musicians themselves.

Global Brand Ambassador, Brian Klemm tells us why The Bahamas was such an obvious choice for Selvarey’s launch.

And, we caught up with some members of Da Rhythm Band at their band room, with then telling us what it was like to perform with the dynamic duo.

Klemm also adding his excitement for the poolside performance and his introduction to Rake ‘N’ Scrape music.

But, after a weekend of extravagant events, Klemm says the true magic of Selvarey can be found in something simple: a classic daiquiri.
