Bail Arguments Heard for Officer Accused of Murder Conspiracy

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A policeman accused of a murder conspiracy will learn whether he will be home for the holidays tomorrow. 

Justice Renae McKay heard bail arguments for 47-year-old Corporal Darren Davis today.

And she is expected to deliver her decision on Tuesday.

Davis is accused of plotting the murder of 43-year-old Jayson Whitfield along with his 27-year-old cousin Stephon Davis.

Whitfield, a senior clerk at the Passport Office, was found shot death in his government-issued car on December 3.

Police have not charged anyone with Whitfield’s murder.
