GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Balearia Caribbean has doubled its passenger traffic for 2022, according to the company’s managing director, who reveals spring break is expected to see even higher numbers.

Balearia Caribbean provides weekly services from Ft. Lauderdale to Grand Bahama and Bimini.

In 2019 the company took a hard hit from the COVID-19 pandemic, but Mario Otero, Managing Director, said the good news is in 2022.

The vessel carried 112,000 passengers, 50 percent more than the previous year, which shows that the market is improving.
