NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Business owners on Grand Bahama weighing in on that failed sale of the Grand Lucayan Resort calling it unfortunate that the island is back at square one. President of Waugh Construction Godfrey Waugh says he was disappointed when he first heard the news and and adds that Grand Bahamians are looking forward to something happening.

President of the Chamber of Commerce James Carey says he wasn’t too surprised that the deal collapsed following the announcement of several extensions.

But, Waugh says he’s is anxiously waiting to hear what will happen to the Grand Bahama International Airport.

Carey and President of Freeport Ship Services Jeremy Cafferata say Grand Bahamians need to know more about the redevelopment of the airport.
