NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Team Dragon, Team Falcon and Team Shark all out in full force for Cable Bahamas Group of Companies’ Sports Day this past weekend.

The goal? To build camaraderie and promote health and wellness among staff members.

The program, featuring activities across the country, included a walk-a-thon as well as sports days.

Cable Bahamas’ General Manager of Mobility Sales Rory Major says although sports brings out the competitive spirit in most people, it is also one of the things that unites people.

ALIV CEO John Gomez agreed.

Cable Bahamas CEO Franklyn Butler spoke with us after a dominating tug-of-war win, visibly proud of his team’s performance.

Cable’s Vice President of Human Resources Ed Duncombe says although customer satisfaction is a top priority, events like this help employees strike the balance between work and play.

And everyone wanted their team to take home the title and bragging rights for the year.

John Gomez and Team Shark went into a feeding frenzy, biting up the competition – showing what baby sharks and adult sharks can “do do do”.

The Sharks secured 777 points to dart past the Dragons who ended the day with 760 points. The Falcons placed third with 615 points.

Congratulations to Team Shark, but remember everyone is a winner, especially when they put their health and wellness first.
