Coach Yo, Lady Rebels Beat Marquette To Advance

U.S.A. – Coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin and her University of Mississippi Lady Rebels survived and advanced out of the first round of the NCAA Women’s Tournament, taking down Marquette 67-55.

U.S.A. – Coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin and her University of Mississippi Lady Rebels survived and advanced out of the first round of the NCAA Women’s Tournament, taking down Marquette 67-55. 

Madison Scott had 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the squad and Kennedy Todd Williams added 15 and 7 rebounds. 

They will next play Notre Dame in the round of 32 on Monday.

On the men’s side of things, Frederick King and the Creighton Bluejays played, taking out Oregon 86-73. 

King had a “did not play” in that game, unfortunately. The man he usually backs up at the center position Ryan Kalkbrenner had 21 points and 14 rebounds. 

They’re on to the sweet 16 where they will play Tennessee.

NBA

Eric Gordon and his phoenix suns got a 131-106 win over the San Antonio spurs in the lone star state. 

The 6’3″ sharpshooter came off the bench to score 12 points, all of which came from beyond the arc where he went 4-5. 

Devin Booker led the suns with 32 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and Kevin Durant had 25. 

Victor Wembanyama had 13 for the Spurs.
