NASSAU, BAHAMAS – FNM Senator Maxine Seymour is concerned following the news of two separate incidents of children being shot in the capital last night.

The first, a 15-year-old boy was shot on Windsor Lane around 7:30 Thursday night when a gunman opened fire on the group of people he was hanging out with.

The boy remains in stable condition in hospital.

Then, around 1am Friday morning, a 10-year-old boy was shot on Lyon Road returning from a food run. He is also still in hospital.

Seymour says she finds the crimes against children deeply disturbing.

Seymour is a mother of four, one of her children 15 years old, the same age as one of last night’s victims.

Her youngest is six, and she says that gun violence is not a concern parents should be worrying about this early in their child’s life.
