Cuba Calls U.S. Trade Embargo A ‘Hurricane’

CUBA – Cuba is once again asking the United Nations to address the decades old U.S. trade embargo. Cuba’s Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez launched the annual campaign for a U.N. resolution condemning the trade embargo.

He points out the record financial losses and untold human suffering in recent months and the recovery from COVID-19 and Hurricane Ian.

“Today, the policy of president joseph biden’s government towards cuba, is regrettable. and it is the same republican policy; no changes have been introduced in that policy. the surgical design that pursues every income, every source of funding, and supply in the country, remains, and is a daily theme,” Rodriguez.

This week President Joe Biden announced $2 million in emergency relief for hurricane victims and recovery.
