DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – Rescuers pulled bodies out from under debris on Saturday night after a wall collapsed in an avenue in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Unofficial reports said that at least nine people have died.

According to the Public Works Ministry, at least three vehicles were trapped under the wall when it collapsed as heavy rains lashed the Dominican capital on Saturday afternoon.

Authorities have declared a state of alert in 30 of the country’s 32 provinces.
